This past April a pair of Mourning Doves set up housekeeping on my apartment windowsill which has a security gate. Unfortunately this was a particularly cold month and I believe the clutch froze. In fact the doves merely sat near the nest but not on it. Finally both left the nest unattended and after about 2 weeks, I removed the one remaining unhatched egg.

The other day I noticed the nest which consisted of only a few twigs was once more occupied. I am not sure if this is the same pair but as the weather is lovely I am hoping to see the clutch and perhaps even hatched.
