There are just so many products out there that are really expensive that claim to get rid of your weed problems. And most of the time I have found that not only are they just so expensive but they really do not work. So why not do things a little more environmentally safe. Just get a cup of salt and a couple of cups of boiling water and mix it. Then just pour this mixture on the weeds. It will get rid of all that unwanted grass and weeds. If salt will stop the growth of weeds, will it also affect the plants nearby? What happens to the soil after salt treatment? Will it still be fertile to grow veggies & other plants?

I have done this and had success with it but I do not do it near my veggies or flowers….however epsom salt is great for certain flowers - it rejuvinates them. This is great for getting rid of weeks between sidewalks and paths. But do not put salt on cement it will destroy it.
