Even though it is Winter and there is a ton of snow out there or it is just so cold that you can not even put the shovel in the ground to plant anything it is still very important with regards to the gardening season. The compost is still getting ready for the spring and it is a great time to grow those cover crops so that they will improve the soil for next year. And there are plants and you can grow inside during the winter months so that you can enjoy flowers and plants year round - inside and out!
