Get Rid of Fire ants
Posted on 01.08.08 by thegardengossip @

Do you have a fire ant problem on or near your patio…no problem. Just take a flower pot and flip it upside down on top of their home. Then you boil some water and pit it down the drain hole of the flowerpot…it is almost like you are burning down their home and they will not be back to bother you. This is a problem that you really do not want to encounter…believe me!!! They are really nasty to have to deal with and there is usually not just one or two – there are usually hundreds…yuck!!

  1. I have a severe problem with ants. I have at least 10 different tribes scatteredd through my yard and they all love to bite. I spoke with a organic gardener who gave one suggestion. At each mound, take a shovel full of it with their ants and put it on another mound. This begins a battle of the tribes to where they fight to death to protect their queen. I am just starting this experiment and hopefully this will put an end to the ant problems or at least cut down on the ant population. As you know, when we work in our gardens and hit that ant colony, the unhappy ants will bite us leaving nasty marks. Try this experiment and we can compare notes. Thanks
