If you are having a problem with your fungal sport plant disease such as powdery mildew – try mixing some baking soda with water and spraying it on the leaf surface…this ways it makes the fungal sports unable to actually infect the plant…therefor you don’t have the plant disease. Not to mention this is a lot healthier for the environment and a lot cheaper than all the other products that sometimes really don’t work! 1 tablespoon of baking soda , 1 teaspoon of dish soap, 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil and 1 gallon of water. Make sure you test this on a small area – you don’t want to burn the plant if it is a sensitive plant! Filed under: Flowers andGardening Tips andLawn Care Comments: None
