I highly recommmend that you get your shrubs and trees from the National Arbor Day Foundation - they have great prices and their trees really do grow. I have had terrible luck with companies such as Michigan Bulg or Owens Nursery…they never grow or they die off. The National Arbor Day Foundation has trees that will last and they are guarenteed. When purchasing plants you want to make sure there is some sort of guarentee!!! Filed under: Shrubs and Trees Comments: None |

Now is the time to order your flowers from National Arbor Day Foundation….at least for me it is. Check out their website for further information for planting and trees in your area. I think this is by far the best site to get your trees. I have had a lot of luck with this site and at the same time you are saving trees and you can get free trees also if you get that membership for just $10 it is just so worth it!! I am so sad that for the past couple of weeks it has not rained very much. It is going to be one of those Falls that are just going to be completely colorless. THe tress are already losing their leaves and changing and you can not evne enjoy it because it seems to be just happening so quick. One big rain and wind storm and they will be all off the trees. Not very nice foliage this year. Filed under: Trees Comments: None |

I have an apple orchard that I go to every single year and this weekend is the beginning of their annual apple picking season. It is just so much fun to pick your own apples and you know where they are coming from and they really taste so much better than the store shipped apples. So if you can pick your own fruit this year then I highly recommend you do so! Filed under: Trees Comments: None |

I love trees that flower…but the key is to find those that flower and also have that fragrant smell. Unfornately not all trees grow in all areas - but here is a short list of the most fragrant ones… Catalpa speciosa/ Catalpa - I love this tree!!!
